Rescue Sales	News & Events	Monthly Meetings
The next cactus rescue sale is at 4342 N 4th ave, Tucson, AZ on Sunday August 17 from 9 am till 1 pm or until all cacti have been sold (Mail Card Picture). Tucson and TCSS in the news: an interview with Chris Monrad about the TCSS cactus rescue program; we're called "Cactus Huggers" in an Audubon Magazine article; on-line magazine Cultivar has an article about Crested Saguaros, including ones in Tucson, and there is an article about our rescue program in the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet! The next monthly meeting is on September 4, 2008, and Ernesto Sandoval will hold a talk about "A Summer Succulent Sabbatical to South Africa and Namibia". The previous meeting featured Matthew B. Johnson who talked about "Exploring and Knowing the Plants of the Rio Grande Area of Texas"; he showered us with many beautiful slides and lots of plant names, a great talk!

We conduct and sponsor native cactus and succulent rescue operations, plant sales, field trips, nursery and garden visits, conventions and conferences as well as other activities throughout the year. We set aside 25 percent of all cactus rescue profits for our newly formed Educational Outreach Grant Program. We welcome everyone to come to our meetings and join us in the fun and excitement.
